Creekside (GA) wide receiver Eric Paul Jr. received his first Division I offer in January of 2024. A year later, his offer list has continued to grow — with 15 schools now in pursuit of the talented pass catcher

“It means a lot to me,” Paul said of the offers he's received. “I always dreamed of this, now I’m living up to it.”

And while every Division I scholarship offer is special, Paul was especially honored to receive an offer from Georgia Southern. The program's storied history makes the Eagles an extremely appealing program for almost any athlete — especially those within the state of Georgia.

“They don't offer for no reason,” Paul said. "It's definitely a blessing to get them to notice you."

When talking about the Eagles, Paul repeatedly cited the program's winning tradition and atmosphere surrounding the program as massive draws. Additionally, his strong relationship with the Eagles' coaching staff is only growing tighter with the continued communication between both parties.

“Me and Coach (Damion) Willis have an outstanding relationship,” Paul said. "I love talking with my guy, he's such a cool person."

Paul's admiration of Willis can be seen throughout his social media too, with the young athlete interacting with a number of tweets from Georgia Southern Athletic accounts that mention the newly minted inside receivers coach.

In total, 15 schools have extended an offer to the talented receiver, but Paul has specifically tabbed the Eagles' as a "top-five" program in terms of his recruitment. He plans to make a return visit to Statesboro sometime in the spring, but has yet to hammer down a date.
