Prior to 2025, Thomas County Central (GA) wide receiver Jaydon Dunbar held just three Division I offers. But since the beginning of the calendar year the towering 6-foot-5 target has added over a dozen more to his portfolio.

Georgia Southern joined the growing list of programs to offer Dunbar earlier this month, months after in-state rival Georgia State extended an offer and days before Appalachian State added their name to his growing list.

"It's very interesting," Dunbar said when discussing his growing list of offers. "Just last summer, I didn't think I'd be in position to have all these offers. I am truly blessed for the opportunities that these coaches have given me."

Dunbar missed time in 2024 due to injury, but ranked second on the Yellow Jackets' roster in receiving yards with 476 yards. However, his seven touchdowns was tied for the most of any non-quarterback on the team.

While his list has ballooned to include a number of SEC powerhouses – including the in-state Georgia Bulldogs – Dunbar still holds the Eagles in very high regards. His relationship with outside receivers coach BJ Johnson has blossomed since receiving an offer

"Georgia Southern is a great place," Dunbar said. "I like Coach (BJ) Johnson. He's getting to know me and we have good conversations."

Despite his skyrocketing stock, Dunbar still plans to make the trip to Statesboro for a visit. He has remained in constant contact with Johnson as the pair continue to attempt to hammer down another get-together.
