With Georgia Southern's 2025 recruiting class now officially complete, the program's coaching staff has turned their attention to the class of 2026 and beyond. Carrollton (GA) linebacker Kadan Spratling is among the many student-athletes to receive an offer from the Eagles during the month of January, something he does not take lightly.
"I'm very grateful for schools like Georgia Southern for giving me the opportunity to play at the next level," Spratling said. "Everyone doesn't get that opportunity and I definitely don't take it for granted."
Spratling starred for the Trojans this past fall, recording 58 tackles, 20 quarterback pressures, eight sacks, four forced fumbles, three pass deflections, two fumble recoveries, an interception and a blocked kick for the state runner-ups. Like many defenders on the Eagles' roster, his versatility stood out to the coaching staff above all else.
The 6-foot-2, 225-pound linebacker made his way down to Statesboro for a game day visit against Troy last season, which left a lasting impression on the talented defender. And while no return visit has been scheduled at the time of writing, Spratling and his family are hoping to return at some point in 2025.
"During my game day visit, I loved the atmosphere," Spratling said. "You can tell the fans love the school and they have a strong support system."
Spratling closed his interview with GATA Central by assuring our team that Georgia Southern remains "high" on his list of potential schools.
