As Georgia Southern wraps up their 2025 recruiting class, Spain Park (AL) tight end Henry Gregory announced his commitment to the program on social media Wednesday morning.

“It felt like home,” Gregory said of the program. “I had an opportunity to visit other great schools, but it was clear to me that Georgia Southern was where God wanted me to be.”

Listed at 6-foot-8, 220-pounds, Gregory will immediately become the tallest player on the Eagles’ roster. His large frame was perhaps the most appealing factor in the eyes of the Georgia Southern coaching staff.

“They like my ability to stretch the field vertically and my frame,” Gregory said. “My God-given height gives me an advantage over defenders. I look forward to developing within the program.”

The relationship that Gregory built with the coaching staff also played a massive part in his decision. While other Sun Belt programs joined in the pursuit of Gregory’s talents, a late in-home visit from tight ends coach Brian Schor helped to seal the deal.

“What stood out to me was the hospitality of the coaches and staff,” Gregory said. “I immediately felt like I was apart of the family. Everyone was extremely welcoming.”

After putting pen to paper and making his signing official, Gregory had one simple message for all of Eagle Nation: “Let’s get to work! Hail Southern!”
