While the Georgia Southern coaching staff has hit the recruiting trail hard in pursuit of members of the class of 2026, there have been a number of younger athletes that have also drawn their attention.
2027 Moody (AL) offensive lineman Fisher Brinegar received an offer from the Eagles last week, making him one of the few athletes in his class to hold an offer from Georgia Southern.
“It means the world to me,” Brinegar said of the offer. “Making it to where my parents don’t have to worry about paying for my college education is pretty cool.”
As a sophomore, it is still very early on in the recruitment process for Brinegar. The 6-foot-5, 300-pound lineman already holds four Division I offers, however, with Georgia Southern arguably being the most notable program on the list so far.
“They’ve always traditionally been a great school and their home game atmospheres are electric,” Brinegar said. “I’m very excited to get on campus.”
While Brinegar boasts an offer from the Eagles, his communication with the program has been otherwise limited. Despite it being so early on in the process, Brinegar is hoping to make a visit to Statesboro in the near future.
