Since the beginning of his junior season, Mosley (FL) has seen his list of Division offers grow to over a dozen — including a number of offers from Power Four programs.
"It's super awesome because I always enjoyed working hard," Land said. "To see if all pay off is an awesome experience."
Georgia Southern began their pursuit of the talented pass catcher in early January and quickly got Land and his family up to Statesboro for a Junior Day visit, an experience that has stuck with him ever since.
"They had a nice family atmosphere when we came to visit for Junior Day," Land said. "The coaches we met were all down to earth and easy to talk to. The facilities and campus in Statesboro were also really nice."
While Land is more than capable in the receiving game — hauling in 22 receptions for 337 yards and a pair of touchdowns — his ability to maul in the run game has drawn the attention of the Georgia Southern coaching staff.
"Coach (Bryan) Schor has been awesome since our first contact," Land said. "He stays in touch with me and checks in regularly. (The coaching staff) has told me they like my ability to stretch the field vertically and my desire to block in the run game."
Land and his family were blown away during their visit to Statesboro and the Eagles have vaulted up his list as a result. While he is in the process of setting up a spring and summer full of camps and visits, a return trip to the Prettiest Little Town in America has become a priority.
"(Georgia) Southern has a solid spot with me and my family since our Junior Day visit," Land said. "I didn't really know what to expect and when we left that day the visit had given me a feeling that I could definitely see myself going to college and playing in Statesboro.”
