Early Signing Day 2023 is here and there will surely be commitments, de-commitments and flips across the country that completely shift the college football landscape.

While we here at Prep Ballers may not know much, we sre going to lay out three predictions for a busy day.

Georgia stays atop the country

While it may not be bold to say, I think the back-to-back national champions remain atop the 2024 recruiting class rankings. The Buckeyes can make a late push, but I think a signing day flip from five-star athlete KJ Bolden will cement the Dawgs as the clear-cut No. 1 class. The addition of Bolden would give Kirby Smart and Co. four five-star commitments, matching Texas' total and trailing only Ohio State.

Ohio State lets a five-star slip

The Buckeyes currently hold the most five-star commitments in the class of 2024, but don not expect that to hold. Both five-star edge rusher Eddrick Houston and No. 1 overall recruit Jeremiah Smith are in play for a signing day flip, Houston seems the most likely to not honor his verbal commitment. Late visits to Alabama and Clemson, started a swirl of rumors and I expect the Crismon Tide to land the talented Peach State

Clemson holds strong inside the top-15

Despite smaller class sizes than most, Dabo Swinney continues to haul in elite recruiting classes at Clemson and 2024 is no different. With two five-stars and a number of highly-ranked four-stars, the Tigers currently hold the No. 15 ranked recruiting class in this cycle. However, I expect that a late addition in the form of another four-star offensive lineman helps the Tigers boost their class by at least a spot or two.

Prep Ballers will be posting tons of content throughout the day, so make sure to stay posted to our website and @Prep_Ballers on Twitter (X).
