2026 Douglas County (GA) four-star wide receiver Aaron Gregory won’t step foot on a college football field for another two years, but that hasn’t stopped more than 50 programs that have extended him a scholarship offer.
“I’m looking to build a bond with a coach that can develop me for the next level and get me on the field (as soon as possible),” Gregory said in regards to what he looks for in a school. “Traveling isn’t a problem for my family. (My) mom will fly and dad will drive anywhere.”
While distance will not play a role in Gregory’s recruitment, family may have an impact on his decision. His cousin owns Dame’s Chicken and Waffles in Raleigh, NC and a recent visit put NF State on his radar.
“(North Carolina) as a state is home,” Gregory said. “I have family in a few places there. I’m early in the process so we haven’t talked NIL, just continuing to develop on and off the field.”
The school making perhaps the hardest push for the future five-star is Tennessee, who has hosted Gregory for a number of visits as well as making multiple trips to the Peach State. And per a number of reports, Gregory is near the top of the Volunteers’ board in 2026.
“Just continue to be a dog, continue working on my craft like getting faster and attacking the ball, the usual,” Gregory said of the Vols’ messaging. “They seem like they have love for the game and their student athletes.”
While the 6-foot-3, 170-pound wideout has kept his options open so far, Gregory assured Prep Ballers that he would be narrowing his list down soon. Gregory also noted that a select group of schools already “have my attention.”
“I don’t want to have a million official visits,” Gregory said. “I just want to put my energy into those who have actually recruited and built a relationship with me and my family.”
In addition to a handful of showcases this summer, Gregory is hoping to visit Georgia after a number of staff changes since his last visit. He also wants to make his first trip to Clemson, although the school will not extend any potential offer until next year.
