As the 2024 cycle winds down, the 2025 recruiting class is quickly becoming the focus of the college football world.
2025 four-star Buford (GA) offensive tackle Brayden Jacobs holds more than two dozen offers, including nearly every elite program throughout college football.
However, both Clemson and South Carolina have begun to creep towards the top of Jacobs' list following a busy summer schedule.
Despite not receiving an offer until late May, Jacobs' relationship with the Tigers dates back awhile. The 6-foot-6, 310-pound lineman has already made multiple visits to Clemson, including a trip to the program's spring game and annual summer camp.
"I am really excited about Clemson recruiting me because of how different and unique it is," Jacobs said. "I have a great relationship with (Coach Thomas Austin and Coach Dabo Swinney)."
Rather than waiting until the summer to extend an offer to Jacobs, South Carolina made their offer official in December of last year. Before his pair of visits to Clemson, Jacobs made the trek to Columbia for an unofficial visit.
"Gameday at South Carolina is unbeaten," Jacobs said. "It is crazy in there every gameday."
While Jacobs has yet to hammer anything down, the talented lineman is working to schedule a number of gameday visits this fall.
