ICYMI: Texas Tech lands first five-star prospect

Despite a lackluster start to their season, Texas Tech just secured one of the biggest commitments of the 2024 recruiting cycle.

Five-star Lake Belton (TX) wide receiver Micah Hudson announced his commitment to the Red Raiders in a social media post on Monday.

Hudson is the first five-star commit in the program's 92-year history, which also makes him by far the highest-rated recruit to ever land in Lubbock.

The historic commitment moves Tech's class all the way up to No. 23 in the 2024 recruiting class rankings, which would make it the second highest-ranked class in the history of the program.
