For as long as many recruits can remember, the Virginia Tech football program has been the premiere program in the state of Virginia.
This happens to be the case for 2025 Christiansburg (VA) offensive tackle Carter Stallard, who was offered by the Hokies to kick off the month of June.
"It means a lot to me that Virginia Tech offered," Stallard said. "I really like the coaching staff at VT. We can't communicate much because of NCAA rules, but I have enjoyed my visits there."
The Hokies were just one of ten schools to extend an offer to the 6-foot-8, 315-pound lineman, who was one of the most impressive performers during the nationwide summer camp circuit.
"It's a dream come true," Stallard said in regards to the influx of offers. "I was not expecting that. I know I worked hard during the offseason. It was good to see how much I progressed."
As a junior, Stallard is in no rush to end his recruitment and a commitment from the talented lineman will likely wait until next summer.
"If I had to guess, it would be around this time next year," Stallard said when discussing his commitment timeline. "It's way too early to gave a leader. I'm going to continue to work hard and focus on having a good season for now. The rest will fall into place."
Stallard will complete his busy summer schedule with consecutive visits to Louisville, Maryland and Virginia Tech following the dead period.
