North Texas beats out Power Five programs to keep talented defender in-state

North Texas beat out some of the premiere programs in the Longhorn State for a highly talented defender on Friday.

Three-star Kennedale (TX) safety Fredrick Dotie committed to the Mean Green over TCU, Texas Tech, Utah and other Power Five programs.

Dotie is ranked as high as the No. 728 overall recruit and the No. 76 safety in the class of 2024. He marks the third highest-ranked commitment of the cycle for the Mean Green.
