Sooners land another big-time defender

Brent Venables has quickly turned Oklahoma into one of the go-to destinations for the nation's top defensive recruits.

On Wednesday, four-star NOAH Homeschool (OK) defensive end Danny Okoye announced his commitment to the Sooners.

The 6-foot-4, 240-pound edge rusher is ranked as high as the No. 66 overall player and the No. 6 edge rusher in the class of 2024.

Following Okoye's commitment, the Sooners now hold the No. 7 class in the 2024 recruiting cycle.
