On Monday, Notre Dame landed their second four-star quarterback commitment in as many years under head coach Marcus Freeman.
2025 George County (MS) quarterback Deuce Knight announced his commitment to the program in a social media post on Monday morning.
The 6-foot-4, 195-pound signal caller is ranked as high as the No. 26 overall recruit and the No. 2 quarterback in the class of 2025. As a sophomore, he threw for 1,929 yards and 11 touchdowns and added another 488 yards and 12 scores on the ground.
Knight's ability to truly change the game with his legs is something the Irish have lacked since the departure of Ian Book, who ran for more than 1,500 yards and 17 touchdowns during his time in South Bend.
While ball security is something Knight must continue to work on, his raw potential is what drew the eyes of college coaches. He projects as a player who may need a year or two to truly develop, but could eventually turn into one of college football's most productive stars.
Alongside Knight, the Irish currently hold commitments from four-star running back Justin Thurman and three-star defensive lineman Davion Dixon.
