Well, between spending time on the road and interviewing for jobs, I may have missed some big pieces of news.

However, in today's edition of 'What we missed', I'll do my best to catch you up on all the news of the recruiting world.

• Undoubtedly the biggest domino to fall over the weekend was five-star edge rusher Dylan Stewart. The talented defender announced his commitment to South Carolina on Tuesday morning, marking the third highest-ranked recruit in program history.

• The Gamecocks kept it rolling over the weekend by also adding three-star athlete Zy'marion Lang.

• Three-star linebacker Timir Hickman-Collins verbally committed to Florida State over fellow ACC sprogram Georgia Tech.

• Three-star interior offensive lineman Joseph Cryer backed off his pledge to Ole Miss before flipping his commitment to the in-state LSU Tigers. Fellow three-star offensive lineman Ory Williams also committed to the Tigers over the weekend.

• Unranked wide receiver Fatu Makuba committed to Sam Houston State over a number of Power Five programs. He is the younger brother of Clemson star Andrew Makuba.

• Four-star cornerback Aaron Scott pledged his commitment to Ohio State. He is the fourth highest-ranked commitment in the Buckeyes' 2024 recruiting class.

• Arkansas lost a commitment from four-star athlete Noreel White. Ole Miss has immediately positioned themselves to land White, who projects as a wide receiver at the Division I level.

• 2025 four-star running back Justin Thurman announced his commitment to Notre Dame, who now hold the No. 7 overall class in next year's recruiting cycle.

• Tennessee landed four-star offensive tackle Bennett Warren, marking the Volunteers' second highest-ranked recruit in their 2024 recruiting class.

• After announcing his decommitment from Ole Miss in early July, four-star quarterback Demond Williams landed with the in-state Arizona Wildcats.

• 2025 four-star quarterback Akili Smith Jr., the son of former NFL star Akili Smith, followed in his father's footsteps by committing to Oregon over the weekend. The 6-foot-6, 200-pound signal caller is ranked as high as the No. 1 player at his position in the class of 2025.

• Four-star linebacker Mykel Patterson-McDonald announced his commitment to the in-state Oklahoma Sooners.

• After backing off his pledge to Pittsburgh, four-star wide receiver Ric'Darious Farmer announced his commitment to UCF. The Knights now have the third best class in the reshuffled Big 13 conference.

While I continue to go through the interview process and search for a job, there may be a few other gaps in coverage.

However, I will continue to provide the most in-depth coverage of high school athletics and recruiting to the best of my ability.
